~ PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN: INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING by "Mother Goof"
Special Author Visit programs for the youngest students, ages 2-7: After a simple author talk, "MOTHER GOOF" will make story time come alive with interactive book reading, dramatics, story board, masks, puppets, and other storytelling props. Rachelle reinforces the importance of curiosity, creativity, and imagination, and how even the youngest child can tell stories, even in pictures.
~ THE WALKING FISH: Researching & Writing a Science Novel (Grade 5 through Middle School
This fun and engaging Visit author visit (in person or virtual) for grades 5-9 features The Walking Fish: Researching and Writing a Science Novel. This dynamic assembly explores the real science behind the award-winning novel The Walking Fish, recognized by the Children's Cook Council and National Science Teaching Association as an Outstanding Science Trade Book. Students will discover how research, curiosity, and personal experiences come together to create an exciting science adventure story, making both science and writing come alive.
